About Bolton Tuition Centre

Hello. My name is Sherrie Charlton and I am the owner of Bolton Tuition Centre. As a qualified teacher with 16 years of classroom experience, I decided to open my tuition centre in January 2011. After starting with 42 students, we are proud to say that we currently have more than 150 students taught every week.
Our aim is to help students improve their confidence and ability in the classroom, which often spills over into other areas of their lives. We create bespoke tuition for every student in our centre, giving 1-2-1 support within a group setting.
We are proud to say that we have mainly grown through word of mouth referrals, which accountant for more than half of our current students!

There are Early Years, English, Maths, Science, Primary and Secondary specialists within our teaching team of 5 fully qualified teachers, and our teaching assistants include trainee-teachers which gives them the experience that they need as well as giving that extra support to our students. Every member of staff has an enhanced DBS check every three years, which helps to keep our students safe and gives parents peace of mind.

Sherrie has completed her paediatric first aid and fire warden training recently, as part of her OFSTED accreditation. The building is equipped with CCTV, emergency lighting, disabled entrance and toilets, and fully functioning fire safety system.
